  • Our packages are pre-designed to ensure a seamless experience. Customization is not available, but you may choose from select add-ons.

  • You are welcome to bring your own décor. Please note that you will be responsible for all setup and placement.

    What clients have brought in:

    • Picture frames of late loved ones

    • Guestbook, Guest favors, Card holder

    • Custom “Welcome to Our Wedding” Sign and/or additional easel with seating chart

  • Our Ring Fling events are scheduled back-to-back, so early access to the venue is not available. If you have small items such as picture frames or personal décor, we recommend designating someone from your party to set them up once doors open.

  • What is your wedding booking process?

    We require 40% of the initial package and signed contract to book your wedding. The rest of the bill will be due in monthly or 2 remaining payments. We will confirm headcount 1 month before your event and the total must be paid in full 1 month before your wedding date.

    Example:

    40 Person Wedding

    40% Deposit - $2,200.00

    2nd Payment - $3,570.00

    3rd Payment -$3,570.00

    Forms of Accepted Payments:

    • HoneyBooks Online Processor: You may pay conveniently online through your invoice portal. Please note that we charge 3.5% to process all credit/debit cards online. 

    • Zelle: You may pay via Zelle to Blue Thistle Farm & Wedding Chapel at 847-740-1234 to avoid processing fees. 

    • Cash/Check: You may arrange a time with us to drop off cash or checks. If you would like to mail a check, you may write the check out to "Blue Thistle Farm LLC" and send it to 37510 N Fairfield Road, Lake Villa IL 60046. Please notify us if you plan to do so. 

  • If you're getting married at The Blue Thistle, you'll need to pick up your marriage license from the Lake County Clerk’s office before the big day!
