To ensure food safety and a smooth event experience, The Blue Thistle requires that all food be provided by a licensed caterer, restaurant, or grocery store. Homemade and pot-luck food is not allowed.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, The Blue Thistle requires that all alcohol be served by a licensed and insured bartender or bartending company. Clients are responsible for providing all alcohol and mixers, while the bartender will supply their own tools and equipment. Self-serve alcohol or guest-poured drinks are not permitted. This policy helps us maintain compliance with local regulations and prioritize guest safety.

We require a $300.00 refundable deposit and signed contract to secure your date. The remaining balance will be due 1 month before the event date.
Forms of Accepted Payments:
HoneyBooks Online Processor: You may pay conveniently online through your invoice portal. Please note that we charge 3.5% to process all credit/debit cards online.
Zelle: You may pay via Zelle to Blue Thistle Farm & Wedding Chapel at 847-740-1234 to avoid processing fees.
Cash/Check: You may arrange a time with us to drop off cash or checks. If you would like to mail a check, you may write the check out to "Blue Thistle Farm LLC" and send it to 37510 N Fairfield Road, Lake Villa IL 60046. Please notify us if you plan to do so.
