Booking Info

  • $500.00 Security Deposit Required (Covers any damages or lost items - Funded within 7 business days)

  • We book non-wedding events (like baby showers, birthdays, and meetings) up to 4 months in advance, to allow priority access to wedding clients.

  • Event must be paid in FULL 1 month before event date

  • To ensure food safety and a smooth event experience, The Blue Thistle requires that all food be provided by a licensed caterer, restaurant, or grocery store. Homemade and pot-luck food is not allowed.

    Example Allowed:

    • Special accommodations for allergies (We will never discriminate)

    • Chain Resturant, Grocery Store or Private Catering

    • Store bought packaged goods

    • Desserts - Bakery/Store/Cottage Law

    • Goodie Bags

  • To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, The Blue Thistle requires that all alcohol be served by a licensed and insured bartender or bartending company. Clients are responsible for providing all alcohol and mixers, while the bartender will supply their own tools and equipment. Self-serve alcohol or guest-poured drinks are not permitted. This policy helps us maintain compliance with local regulations and prioritize guest safety.

  • Yes! Our space is the perfect blank canvas for any theme or event.

    • Please make sure your rentals are picked up at the end of your rental.

    • NO CONFETTI (Includes confetti balloons) or GLITTER.

    • Tents - We allow tents. They must be set up and taken down during your rental time.

    • Bouncy Houses - You may set up bouncy houses. They must be set up and taken down during your rental time and an electrical usage fee of $25.00 will be charged.

    • You may bring tables and chairs to place outside. Our indoor tables/chairs must remain inside.

  • We understand some events such as graduations are open house, we just ask you keep the invite list under 100 and assign a parking attendant if needed.

  • We require a $500.00 refundable deposit and signed contract to secure your date. The remaining balance will be due 1 month before the event date.

    Forms of Accepted Payments:

    • HoneyBooks Online Processor: You may pay conveniently online through your invoice portal. Please note that we charge 3.5% to process all credit/debit cards online. 

    • Zelle: You may pay via Zelle to Blue Thistle Farm & Wedding Chapel at 847-740-1234 to avoid processing fees. 

    • Cash/Check: You may arrange a time with us to drop off cash or checks. If you would like to mail a check, you may write the check out to "Blue Thistle Farm LLC" and send it to 37510 N Fairfield Road, Lake Villa IL 60046. Please notify us if you plan to do so.
